Job summary

PT Mutualplus Global Resources Semarang is seeking a bilingual interpreter/translator to bridge our local project team with a Chinese EPC contractor in Semarang. The role entails daily interpretation, translation of technical documents, and coordinating communications across Owner, engineers, and design teams.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin, with strong English and Bahasa Indonesia skills, and be based in Central Java with travel to the project site when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Based in or willing to be based in Semarang (Central Java).
• Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Able to work in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficient with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mandarin-English/Indonesian interpretation during meetings and daily communications.
• Translate project documents, drawings, reports, and emails.
• Coordinate communication between Owner, Civil Engineers, Design Team, and Chinese EPC Contractor.
• Prepare meeting minutes, track actions, and follow up with stakeholders.
• Assist with project documentation, filing, and document control.
• Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
• Support procurement and admin tasks requiring Chinese language support.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Mandarin English/Indonesian interpretation during meetings, site discussions, and daily communications.
• Translate project documents, technical drawings, reports, specifications, emails, and correspondence.
• Coordinate communication between the Owner, Civil Engineers, Design Team, and Chinese EPC Contractor.
• Prepare meeting minutes, monitor action items, and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with project documentation, filing, and document control.
• Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
• Support procurement, administration, and other project-related activities when Chinese language assistance is required.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Candidates based in the Semarang area are preferred.
• Fluent in Mandarin (Chinese), both spoken and written.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced project environment.
