Job summary

Apical Group is seeking a Utility Supervisor – Boiler (CFB) for its Marunda, Jakarta facility. You will oversee daily CFB boiler operations, ensure reliable steam supply, monitor efficiency and fuel consumption, and lead a team of boiler operators.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and at least 5 years in utility operations with CFB boiler experience. You will ensure boiler safety, PSM, and environmental compliance while optimizing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in utility operations, preferably coal-fired boilers.
• Hands-on experience with Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boilers.
• Strong boiler efficiency, coal calorific value, and combustion control knowledge.
• Familiarity with safety standards and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily CFB boiler operations to ensure reliable steam supply.
• Monitor efficiency, coal consumption, steam output, and combustion.
• Ensure feedwater quality, chemical dosing, and blowdown meet specs.
• Oversee inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and actions.
• Ensure HSE compliance and environmental regulations.
• Supervise operators, coordinate shifts, and handovers.
• Prepare reports, analyze deviations, monitor KPIs and improvements.
