Job summary

NOV is seeking a CAD Drafter to prepare accurate engineering drawings and fabrication documentation in Batam. You will create GA drawings, weld maps, and detailed shop drawings while ensuring compliance with project specs, standards, and client requirements.

You will collaborate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Production teams to deliver timely, high-quality drafting documentation and contribute to efficient fabrication planning throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma D3 or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of CAD drafting experience in fabrication, manufacturing, EPC, or oil & gas.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Navisworks experience is an advantage.
• Familiar with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section VIII Div.1 requirements.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, Tekla, and nesting software (Autonest/Pronest) is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and in a project team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare GA drawings, cutting layouts, weld maps, and fabrication drawings.
• Develop detailed shop drawings and single-part drawings for fabrication.
• Prepare weld numbering, weld traceability documentation, and weld tracking systems.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Production teams for drawing accuracy.
• Review and update drawings based on revisions and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specs, and codes.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to drafting and fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks is an advantage.
• Familiar with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section VIII Div.1 requirements.
