Job summary

Nov Inc. in Indonesia is seeking a CAD Drafter to prepare accurate engineering drawings and fabrication documentation for production support.

You will ensure weld maps and fabrication drawings meet project specs, client requirements, and applicable standards, and you will collaborate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Production teams to deliver drafting documentation. Responsibilities include creating GA drawings, shop drawings, weld numbering, and traceability, updating drawings with revisions, and

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CAD Drafter or Weld Map Drafter in fabrication, manufacturing, EPC, or Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Navisworks experience is an advantage.
• Familiar with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section VIII Div.1 requirements.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, Tekla, and nesting software such as Autonest or Pronest will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a project environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, cutting layouts, weld maps, and fabrication drawings.
• Develop detailed shop drawings and single-part drawings for fabrication activities.
• Prepare weld numbering, weld traceability documentation, and weld tracking systems.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, and Production teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Review and update drawings based on engineering revisions and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications, and applicable codes.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to drafting and fabrication processes.
