SoftwareSeni is a software development company based in Yogyakarta and Sydney, Australia, delivering enterprise web-based solutions for clients worldwide. We seek a Business/Reporting Analyst to own recurring Excel-based reporting workflows, transform data, and deliver accurate dashboards while partnering with developers to automate processes and improve data quality.

The role requires strong English communication, 3+ years’ experience, and onsite work at our Yogyakarta office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Business Analysis, Reporting, Operations, or similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP, pivots).
• Experience with data analysis, cleaning, reconciliation across sources.
• Experience building clear reports, dashboards from raw data.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes clearly.
• Experience automating repetitive spreadsheet tasks (VBA preferred).
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements for developers.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring Excel-based reporting workflows including data extraction, reconciliation, and transformation.
• Ensure timely, accurate delivery of reports on weekly/monthly schedules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand processes and ensure smooth handover.
• Document reporting workflows with inputs, transformation rules, matching logic, exceptions, and outputs.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and translate them into requirements for the development team.
• Work with developers to validate automated outputs against manual reports.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Reporting, Operations, or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas such as VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data summarization.
• Strong experience in data analysis, cleaning, reshaping, and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
• Experience building clear and structured Excel reports, dashboards, and summaries from raw exported data.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when matching and reconciling records across different systems.
• Experience with VBA or Excel Macros for automating repetitive spreadsheet tasks is strongly preferred.
• Ability to map, document, and explain business processes and workflows clearly for both business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong automation mindset, with the ability to identify manual processes that can be improved or automated.
• Experience translating business processes and rules into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.
• Comfortable working closely with developers to validate automated solutions against existing manual processes and identify discrepancies or edge cases.
• Proactive in identifying process risks, data quality issues, manual error points, and opportunities for improvement.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical constraints to business stakeholders and translate business requirements into clear specifications for developers.
• Experience with CRM data exports and reconciliation processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with SFTP or scheduled file-transfer workflows is a plus.
• Exposure to dialer or campaign management systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable managing recurring reporting workflows.
• Possess strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Having experience with front-end development will be a plus
• Willing to work onsite at our Yogyakarta Office.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of recurring Excel-based reporting workflows, including data extraction, reconciliation, transformation, and report preparation.
• Ensure reports are delivered accurately and on time, in accordance with weekly or monthly schedules.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand existing processes and ensure a smooth handover and transition.
• Document reporting workflows clearly, including data inputs, transformation rules, matching logic, exceptions, and outputs.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate manual processes and translate them into clear requirements for the development team.
• Collaborate with developers throughout the automation process to validate automated outputs against existing manual reports.
• Identify and proactively address data quality issues, process risks, and potential failure points.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, translating business needs into clear and actionable requirements.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
