Tripla was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in November 2022 and currently operates in 8 countries, including Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia. As we accelerate our growth, we are seeking a Business Analyst to drive data utilization and empower decision-making across the organization.
Role of Customer Engagement Department
The Customer Engagement Department (CE Department) consists of several teams, including onboarding, technical support, customer success, business intelligence, and project management. Externally, the department ensures the smooth onboarding and ongoing success of accommodation facilities. Internally, it plays a key role in promoting data-driven management through KPI tracking and data analysis.
Role of the Business Analyst
As a Business Analyst in the Business Intelligence Group, you will serve as an individual contributor, responsible for driving the practical use of data across both internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with executives and cross-functional teams to analyze data, generate insights, and support strategic and operational decisions.
Key Responsibilites
- Extract, process, visualize, and analyze data related to internal KPI management
- Create dashboards and reports using BigQuery, SQL, and BI tools such as Looker
- Improve data pipelines and infrastructure to enhance internal efficiency and automation
- Support data design and operations for our customer-facing dashboard service, tripla Analytics
- Collaborate with other departments to identify challenges and support data-driven initiatives

Requirements
Experience & Education
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in business intelligence or data analysis
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university
- Business-level English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
Business Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Documentation and presentation creation skills
- Ability to understand business structure and extract actionable insights from data
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation
- Experience using BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) for visualization and reporting
- Hands-on experience with DWH environments such as BigQuery
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Backlog)
- Basic understanding of APIs and cloud services
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience in statistics, big data, machine learning, Python/R
- Experience in launching or driving new business initiatives
- Familiarity with workflow automation and tools (e.g., RPA)
- Experience or knowledge of SaaS, travel, or hospitality tech industries
