Job summary

PT Graha Bumi Hijau is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to supervise boiler and auxiliary system installations at our tissue paper manufacturing facility.

You will analyze boiler efficiency, fuel consumption and steam balance, and prepare regular performance reports while coordinating with contractors and M&E, instrumentation, civil, and HSE teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of boiler systems experience in industrial/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of boiler design, operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with boiler safety regulations and inspection standards.
• Proficient in using boiler testing equipment and gauges.
• K3 License for Steam Boiler Operators.
• Ability to read P&ID, boiler drawings and steam flow diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise boiler and auxiliary system installations per approved drawings.

Job description

Supervise boiler and auxiliary system installations in accordance with approved engineering drawings.

Perform calculations and analysis of boiler efficiency, fuel consumption, and steam balance.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on boiler-related activities and project progress.

Coordinate with contractors and mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and HSE teams regarding site activities and project execution.

Ensure all boiler-related activities are carried out in accordance with applicable SOPs and occupational health and safety (HSE) regulations.

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with boiler systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of boiler design, operation, and maintenance procedures, including steam and hot water systems

Familiarity with boiler safety regulations, inspection standards, and quality assurance requirements

Competence in using boiler testing equipment, pressure gauges, thermometers, and other diagnostic instruments

Hold a K3 (Occupational Safety and Health) License for Steam Boiler Operators.

Able to read and interpret P&ID, boiler drawings, and steam flow diagrams.
