Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a BIM Modeler – MEP & Construction to join our Jakarta-based team. You will develop and maintain BIM models and technical drawings using Autodesk Revit to support construction and engineering projects.

Work closely with design engineers, project managers, and site personnel to ensure model accuracy, perform clash detection, and produce construction-ready drawings reflecting project requirements and site conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional BIM modeling or BIM drafting experience.
• Hands-on experience developing BIM models and technical drawings using Autodesk Revit for MEP or civil/structural works.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, elevations, coordinates, grids and technical specifications.
• Strong proficiency in Revit including model development, family management, parameters and drawing generation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain BIM models using Autodesk Revit based on drawings and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed BIM models for MEP, HVAC, fire protection, and relevant civil/structural elements.
• Coordinate models across disciplines, perform clash detection, review service routing and resolve conflicts.
• Generate floor plans, sections, and construction drawings directly from BIM models with revision control.
• Maintain BIM standards, naming conventions, family libraries, and documentation procedures.
• Perform BIM-based quantity take-offs and categorize quantities by discipline to support estimation and planning.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to resolve technical issues and RFIs.
• Update models/drawings to reflect approved changes and site conditions.
• Support site coordination with model reviews, 3D visualization, and project visits.
• Prepare and maintain as-built models and final documentation.

With project assignments across several major industrial and commercial locations in Indonesia, the company continues to strengthen its technical design capabilities and is seeking BIM professionals who can support accurate modeling, efficient coordination, and reliable project execution.

Job Role

The BIM Modeler – MEP & Construction will be responsible for developing and maintaining BIM models and technical drawings using Autodesk Revit to support construction and engineering projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this role focuses on translating engineering drawings and design requirements into accurate, coordinated, and construction-ready models across MEP and civil/structural disciplines. Responsibilities include model development, clash detection, quantity take-offs, drawing revisions, and as-built documentation.

The successful candidate will work closely with design engineers, construction teams, and site personnel to resolve technical coordination issues, maintain model accuracy, and ensure that drawings reflect project requirements and actual site conditions. The role is based at the company's PIK office, with travel to project sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain BIM models using Autodesk Revit based on engineering drawings, design specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed BIM models for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and relevant civil/structural elements, including sleeves, embeds, supports, and hangers.
• Coordinate models across multiple engineering disciplines, perform clash detection, review service routing and clearances, and assist in resolving technical conflicts before construction.
• Generate floor plans, sections, detailed construction drawings, and other technical documentation directly from BIM models, ensuring consistency and accurate revision control.
• Maintain BIM modeling standards, component naming conventions, family libraries, model parameters, and documentation procedures in accordance with project requirements.
• Perform BIM-based quantity take-offs and categorize quantities by discipline, system, zone, or component to support material estimation, construction planning, and project control.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to clarify technical requirements, resolve model-related issues, and support requests for information (RFIs).
• Update BIM models and drawings to reflect approved design changes, site conditions, and construction progress.
• Support site coordination through model reviews, 3D visualization, technical clarification, and periodic project site visits.
• Prepare and maintain as-built models, revised drawings, and final technical documentation in accordance with project deliverables.
• Manage multiple model revisions and drawing versions while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure BIM deliverables align with engineering specifications, construction requirements, and project schedules.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum SMK/Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or a related technical field. Relevant technical certifications are advantageous.
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in BIM modeling or BIM drafting within construction, engineering, MEP, or related projects.
• Hands-on experience developing BIM models and technical drawings using Autodesk Revit, particularly for MEP or civil/structural works.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, elevations, coordinates, grid systems, and technical specifications.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including model development, family management, parameters, and drawing generation.
• Good understanding of MEP systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection, or relevant civil/structural construction principles.
• Experience with multidisciplinary model coordination, clash detection, technical revisions, and construction drawing updates.
• Familiarity with BIM-based quantity take-offs, component categorization, and construction documentation management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PDF markup tools; familiarity with BIM 360 or other BIM collaboration platforms is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Navisworks or Tekla for model coordination and clash detection is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage repetitive revisions and multiple drawing versions.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with design engineers, construction teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Basic to intermediate English proficiency for technical coordination and project documentation.
• Ability to read Chinese technical drawings or engineering documentation is an advantage.
