Job summary

tiket.com is hiring a backend engineer in Jakarta to build scalable services powering our 50+ million users. You will write clean, robust code following SOLID and contribute APIs for frontend apps while focusing on performance and reliability.

Requirements include a BS in CS/IT, 2+ years backend experience, Java or Golang, and experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, SQL/NoSQL, CI/CD, and testing. Kubernetes, Redis, Docker are pluses. Join a collaborative, fast-paced team in Indonesia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in CS/IT.
• Minimum 2 years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in Java or Golang.
• Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD, TDD, Refactor/Rewrite systems.
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficient in log analysis and debugging.
• Strong prioritization and product ownership mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend backend code based on SOLID principles and Clean Code.
• Build APIs that serve frontend apps – Benchmark and improve performance.
• Maintain and extend our test suite.
• Refactor and improve existing code for better patterns.
• Document and write about the work.
• Create unit tests and implement self-tests for reliability.
• Assist tech lead to review and follow up on code.
