Job summary

GEA Germany GmbH is seeking an Automation Engineer to support project delivery from contract signing through commissioning. You will lead automation activities, coordinate with Lead/Senior Engineers, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget across SEA/APAC regions.

The role requires a Master’s degree in automation or related fields, strong PLC/HMI skills, and hands-on experience with electrical and control systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Expertise in automation, control systems, pneumatics, and industrial electricity.
• Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming across major vendors.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as S88, S95, and S101; hygienic design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support automation engineering execution across multiple projects (2–8 yearly).
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, GEA norms, and safety requirements.
• Procure and liaise with vendors; supervise panel assembly and FAT.
• Perform IO tests, electrical measurements, and commissioning checks.
