Job summary

Siegwerk is seeking an Automation Engineer in Tangerang, Indonesia. The role focuses on leading automation in production, troubleshooting, and ongoing process optimization.

A strong background in electrical engineering, instrumentation, and control systems is required, with hands-on experience in PLC programming and modern industrial networks. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, efficient operations and to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
• Strong PLC programming and instrumentation knowledge essential
• Experience with Modbus/Profibus/Profinet/Ethernet/IP preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives in production processes (dosing, high-shear mixing/blending, liquid dispensing)
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis to minimize downtime
• Develop and optimize automated processes and monitoring for continuous improvement

What do You bring as Automation Engineer

• Lead the the automation in production process such as a dosing, high-shear mixing/blending, liquid dispensing, and etc.
• Troubleshooting & Reliability: Provide root cause analysis for control system failures to minimize operational downtime and maintain process stability
• Process Optimization: Develop automation process and monitoring as a part of continuous improvement.

What You can expect as Automation Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in PLC programming, including Siemens S7-1200/1500, OMRON, and other similar platform
• Strong understanding of field instrumentation and instrumentation selection
• Familiar with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
• Knowledge of Batch Processing Systems will be considered an advantage.
• Experienced in dosing and dispensing systems, pump control systems, and load cell-based weighing systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of initiative for continuous improvement and the ability to collaborate effectively with users and cross-functional teams.
