Job summary

Greenfields Dairy Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Malang who will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systems. You will troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, inverters, and other control-system faults while ensuring safe, reliable operation per standards.

The role requires reading schematics and manuals, implementing PM/CM/PdM concepts, and coordinating with Production/Engineering to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance, automation, or similar roles (1–2 years).
• Knowledge of electrical panels, motors, inverters, sensors, relays, and circuit breakers.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation troubleshooting including alarm/diagnostic reading.

• Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, sensor, motor, inverter, and other control-system faults.
• Ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably, and in accordance with operating standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment failures before they cause downtime.
• Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and repair of electrical and automation systems.
• Record completed work, spare-part usage, failure history, and recommended follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure all work complies with SOPs, electrical safety requirements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, automation, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including electrical panels, motors, VSDs/inverters, sensors, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, and electrical protection systems.
• Ability to read and understand single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation troubleshooting, including reading programs, diagnosing alarms/errors, and tracing input/output signals.
• Understanding of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and basic Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
• Ability to use electrical measuring and work tools, such as multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters (meggers).
• Knowledge and application of electrical Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), including LOTO procedures, PPE, and electrical work safety.
• Ability to conduct routine inspections, identify potential faults, analyze causes, and carry out repairs in accordance with procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to prepare work reports, maintain fault histories, and document maintenance activities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, coordinating with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
• Willingness to work shifts, including holidays, and be on call when required.
• Physically capable of performing technician duties in an industrial environment and willing to comply with applicable safety standards.
