Job summary

PT Cabot Indonesia seeks an Engineering Technician to support predictive maintenance and reliability programs across our facilities. You will assist in deploying vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and data-driven improvements to sustainment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and up to 2 years of relevant experience, with a focus on applying statistical methods to improve equipment performance and process reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiar with statistical methods and quality tools such as RCA and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Check and act upon predictive maintenance results.
• Perform thermal imaging, oil analysis and vibration monitoring.
• Assist in design, procurement, and installation of new equipment for product development and process improvements.
• Determine and implement technically feasible and economically viable sustainment alternatives.
• Analyze and evaluate how to improve system sustainability during operations and changes.
• Collect and evaluate service use and maintenance data; conduct root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all product and process changes follow Management of Change principles.
• Support Responsible Care Management System implementation per RC14001 where applicable.

Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities)

• Responsible for checking and acting upon predictive maintenance results.
• Thermal imaging, oil analysis and vibration monitoring program.
• Assists in the design, procurement, and installation of new equipment to support new product development and commercialization and existing process improvements.
• Determines, selects and implements technically feasible and economically viable alternatives for sustainment.
• Analyzes and evaluates how to improve a system and/or equipment’s sustainability under continued operations, maintenance and unexpected change.
• Collects and evaluates service use and maintenance data; conducts root-cause analyses of manufacturing problems (e.g., operational hazards, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, reliability and maintainability trends, safety hazards, and failure causes and effects) and implements corrective action.
• Ensures all product and process changes are implemented in line with appropriate Management of Change (MOC) principles.
• Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors)

• General knowledge and ability in statistical methods and tools, such as Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Experimental Analysis, Statistical Process Control and others.
• Adept with equipment calibration and maintenance
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and draw well-reasoned conclusions.

Education/Experience

Bachelors degree in a relevant Engineering discipline 0 – 2 years of relevant experience
