Job summary

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support predictive maintenance activities in Indonesia. The role includes executing thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration monitoring while assisting in equipment design, procurement and installation for new products and process improvements.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 0–2 years of relevant experience and a solid grounding in data analysis and root-cause investigations to drive corrective actions

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance concepts and RC14001 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check and act upon predictive maintenance results.
• Perform thermal imaging, oil analysis and vibration monitoring.
• Assist design, procurement, and installation of new equipment for product development and process improvements.
• Analyze data and conduct root-cause analyses to identify and correct failures.
• Ensure adherence to Management of Change (MOC) for product/process changes.

Thermal imaging, oil analysis and vibration monitoring program.Assists in the design, procurement, and installation of new equipment to support new product development and commercialization and existing process improvements.Determines, selects and implements technically feasible and economically viable alternatives for sustainment.Analyzes and evaluates how to improve a system and/or equipment’s sustainability under continued operations, maintenance and unexpected change.Collects and evaluates service use and maintenance data; conducts root-cause analyses of manufacturing problems (e.g., operational hazards, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence, corrosion effects, reliability and maintainability trends, safety hazards, and failure causes and effects) and implements corrective action.Ensures all product and process changes are implemented in line with appropriate Management of Change (MOC) principles.Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors)General knowledge and ability in statistical methods and tools, such as Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Experimental Analysis, Statistical Process Control and others.Adept with equipment calibration and maintenanceAbility to analyze and interpret data and draw well-reasoned conclusions.Education/ExperienceBachelors degree in a relevant Engineering discipline0 – 2 years of relevant experienceAt Cabot, we bring the power of innovative chemistry and a spirit of partnership with our customers to advance solutions that will enable a sustainable future.
