Job summary

IFF, based in Jakarta, Indonesia, seeks a laboratory technician to join an onsite team working in fragrance development and quality control. You will weigh ingredients, prepare reference samples, and handle hazardous materials under GMP and GLP standards while maintaining documentation and lab care.

Ideal candidates have a chemistry-related diploma, at least 1 year of similar experience, and solid English communication skills for collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Technical or High School Diploma with Chemistry or technical background.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Detail-oriented with basic MS Office and systems knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Weighs fragrance ingredients per formula, following GMP standards, including barcode tracking, labeling, and conditioning.
• Prepares oil reference samples for initial quality control.
• Handles hazardous materials safely, adhering to chemical safety protocols.
• Fulfills sample and stock orders for perfumes.
• Completes related administrative documentation.
• Manages raw materials per GLP, ensuring proper labeling, shelf-life tracking, and contamination prevention.
• Prepares neat perfumer oils using best practices for internal evaluations.
• Maintains lab equipment, cleanliness, and inventory.
• Follows HSE and sustainability guidelines.
