Job summary

Systemiq in Jakarta is seeking a Manager to join our Sustainable Finance team. You will lead advisory projects for investors, corporates and policymakers, shaping strategies to move capital toward a low-carbon, nature-positive economy.

Youll build and direct a team, coordinate data-driven analyses, and develop practical solutions for transformations while engaging with external partners to monitor impact and communicate progress.

Qualifications

• English language at business level (written and oral).
• 5+ years in a professional system change environment (advisory/consulting, strategy or investment).
• Understanding of ESG, sustainable and climate finance trends.
• Background in corporate advisory or financial institutions is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

You will be working on advisory projects to deliver breakthrough insights, action, and results for leading investors, corporates and policymakers. You will help design and structure innovative financial solutions to tackle some of the world’s most significant challenges. You will help direct creative philanthropic capital and support ground-breaking new ventures as they create new solutions to shift capital into low-carbon, nature-positive opportunities. And you will help the team research and communicate with policymakers about how to green the financial system.

From day one, you will hit the ground running as a Manager within our Sustainable Finance team:

• Support external partners to develop strategies in a rapidly changing environment – working with them to identify investment opportunities across new technologies and business models that can shift capital towards a low-carbon, nature-positive economic system.
• Lead a team of other System Change Leaders and support them to thrive in their work
• Bring data together in a consistent way and perform analyses based on agreed questions for insights,
• Develop long-lasting and collaborative relationships with project partners and stakeholders,
• Provide strategic insights and develop practical solutions for successful transformations
• Support these partners in monitoring, evaluating, and communicating their business model, vision, and impact

Essential Qualifications / Experience

• Business international level of English (required)– both written and oral
• Demonstrable knowledge of Indonesiaof capital markets & macroeconomic trends and an understanding of how financial institutions, instruments, and tools can help shift capital at scale for a low-carbon, nature-positive, more inclusive economy
• Ideally, a background in a corporate advisory firm or financial institution
• An understanding of trends across ESG, sustainable, and climate finance
• 5+ years of experience in a professional system change environment (thought leadership/research, start-ups, advisory/consulting, strategy, project management, investment), preferably in an international environment
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
