Job summary

MSC (MicroSave Consulting) is seeking Associates to support its Centre for Responsible Technologies (CRT) in designing, developing, and implementing Digital Public Infrastructure initiatives across multiple countries.

You will engage with government agencies, donors, and partners to gather requirements and drive solution design, with a focus on DPI-related interventions in social protection, food security, agriculture, and urban development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in technology/engineering or a relevant field.
• 0–4 years of experience in designing, developing, or implementing digital solutions or DPI initiatives.
• Experience in AI/ML, Cloud, Data & Analytics, Process Automation, or related areas.
• Prior consulting/government advisory or digital governance experience preferred.
• Exposure to working with government stakeholders, donor agencies, and international development organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks on assignments with diligence and quality under supervision.
• Seek guidance from colleagues when unsure.
• Participate in assignment debrief meetings.
• Participate in requirement detailing, analysis, design and prototype development.
• Develop working relationships with client staff to gather information/data.
• Assist in training courses delivery, research papers preparation, curriculum development and related technical assistance.
• Contribute to the development of MSC’s toolkits and publications.
• Lead or support the development of concept notes, proposals, pitch decks, and RFIs/RFPs.
• Engage with ecosystem members, donors, partners, and stakeholders to position MSC’s expertise in DPI.
• Contribute to marketing activities through blogs, publications, and knowledge products on DPI, AI, Data & Analytics.
• Conduct quality assessments and facilitate knowledge-sharing within CRT team.
• Invest in continuous self-development on DPI, AI/ML, digital transformation, and open-source tech.
• Provide and seek timely feedback to support team development.

Job description

Associates will play a key role in supporting MSC’s Centre for Responsible Technologies (CRT) in the design, development, and implementation of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiatives across multiple countries, working at the intersection of technology, public policy, digital transformation, and innovation. Work involves extensive engagement with government agencies, donors, private-sector partners, and internal MSC teams to manage technical assistance assignments, lead requirement gathering, drive solution design, and support implementation across diverse digital initiatives. Focus will be on policy and technology-based interventions spanning social protection, food security, agriculture, rural development, and urban development, among others.

Business Execution

• Execute specified tasks on assignments with utmost diligence, attention to detail and focus on quality under supervision

Requirements

• Bachelors or master’s in technology / engineering or relevant field
  
• 0-1 year (Associates) / 2-4 years (Analyst) of experience in designing, developing, or implementing digital solutions or DPI-related initiatives.
  
• Experience in one or more domains - AI/ML, Cloud, Data & Analytics, Process Automation, Digital Transformation, Open-source stack.
  
• Prior experience in consulting, government advisory, technology implementation, digital governance, or system integration roles (Preferred).
  
• Exposure to working with government stakeholders, donor agencies, and international development organizations (Preferred).
