Job summary

BINUS University is looking for a data-focused BI professional to join our IT team in Jakarta. You will analyze requirements, design data models, and validate concepts with clients to support reporting and BI dashboards.

You will work with DWH, Big Data, and ETL tools to ensure data accuracy and security, while documenting procedures and delivering user training as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in CS or related to Data Science.
• Minimum 2 years IT experience with databases and applications.
• Experience in SQL programming, Big Data, DWH, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze requirements for BI reporting and data needs.
• Define high-level business rules for data models and queries.
• Adapt data models to enterprise standards and validate with clients.
• Analyze databases and ensure data quality and security.
• Maintain data center alignment and coordinate with IT teams.
• Improve BI dashboards using Data Warehouse and Big Data techniques.
• Monitor ETL data synchronization and data access performance.
• Create clear documentation for every BI dashboard.
• Gather and document security requirements and enforce them.
• Plan and deliver user training and support development environments.
• Adapt structures to evolving business environments.
• Support supervisor with reporting and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze requirements user.
• Identify high-level business rules for data model and query.
• Adapt conceptual and logical data models to enterprise model.
• Validate conceptual and logical data models with clients.
• Analyze database relative to other databases.
• Provide excellent service towards user, in relation to the service request, data and information update in Bina Nusantara business units/ divisions especially related with reporting and BI dashboard.
• Contribute to design and apply procedures related to BI dashboard request and also related to database in relation to data authorization, change and withdrawal.
• Monitor and analyze data synchronization with ETL (extract transform load) tools across database in Bina Nusantara.
• Ensure all the data complies with legal regulations.
• Maintain good data center in coordination with other IT departments.
• Monitor the quality of data analyst processes.
• Ensure data security and accuracy in all business units/divisions.
• Improve data information and request by using Data Warehouse (DWH), Big Data and Business Intelligence (BI).
• Maintain the performance and quality of DWH, Big Data and BI.
• Analyze user's need and automated data request service by using reporting application (data access).
• Create clear documentation in every BI dashboard created.
• Gather and document security requirements.
• Implement and enforce security requirements.
• Maintain and improve security in response to industry developments and user experience.
• Protect corporate data.
• Provide and support development and production environments.
• Plan and deliver user training.
• Adapt existing structure to new business environments.
• Management Support Activities:
  • Provide Report to direct Supervisor.
  • Suggest improvement process related to activities in area of responsibilities (especially related to time concern, effort and cost).
  • Perform activities related to Quality Management System.
  • Perform additional tasks related to key responsibilities as required by Direct Supervisor.

Education Requirement

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Computer Science, or other major related to Data Science (e.g., Math, Statistics, Information System)

Work Exposure/ Experience

• Minimum 2 years working experience in Information Technology, particularly in database and application
• Experienced in SQL programming, Big Data, DWH, data analytic

Special Skills/ Certification

• Database Management System (DBMS)
• Web Services Administration (system and application)
