Job summary

Carnival Cruise Line is seeking an Assistant Cook to join our onboard culinary team. You will learn the ropes in a vast shipboard operation and support multiple dining venues as part of one of the largest culinary teams at sea.

Ideal candidates are at least 21, with 1 year of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or cruise environment; capable of lifting 60 lbs, with strong English skills, and able to work both in a team and independently. Cruise ship experience is preferred.

A big part of our guests' vacation is the incredible range of restaurants and dining venues onboard. The Culinary Arts team serves as the backbone of that operation. As a member of our hardworking team of cooks and chefs, Assistant Cooks are learning the ropes in the vast Culinary operation on board, supporting various functions that can lead to career opportunities within the department.

Requirements :

• At least 21 years old
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or cruise ship environment
• Must have worked in a high-volume professional Culinary environment
• Strong comprehension of the English language
• Must be physically strong and able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs to sustain physically challenging work
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Previous cruise ship experience is preferred
