Job summary

PT Samudera Caraka Jasa is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage AR aging, follow up on overdue invoices, and negotiate payment terms. The role involves reconciling payments, preparing regular AR reports, and maintaining thorough records to support the finance team.

The candidate will coordinate with CS, Sales and Operations to resolve disputes and ensure timely collections. A background in freight forwarding or logistics is preferred, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in collection or accounts receivable
• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics is preferred
• Proficient with MS Excel and accounting software
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and identify overdue invoices
• Contact customers via phone, email, and WhatsApp to follow up on outstanding payments
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers
• Send periodic Statement of Accounts (SOA) to customers
• Check and update the Bill of Lading (B/L) monitoring to identify which B/Ls are still outstanding
• Prepare and update AR reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Check and reconcile incoming payments against invoices
• Update and settle payments in system based on received payments
• Maintain records of all collection and AR admin activities
• Escalate unresolved or severely overdue accounts to Finance Manager
• Resolve invoice disputes with CS, Sales, and Ops teams
• Process and file KYC and CL documents for customers
