Job summary

Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is seeking an analytical chemist to conduct and supervise laboratory analyses within the assigned section, ensuring accuracy and SOP compliance. The role involves coordinating tasks among analysts and reporting results to the Department Head.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Analytical Chemistry, experience with FTIR/GC/GC-MS/HPLC, and with GLP/ISO 17025 standards. Willingness to relocate outside Riau (Libo) to Kalimantan Tengah is required.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum English proficiency at intermediate level.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as FTIR, GC, GC-MS, and HPLC.
• Knowledge of GLP and ISO 17025 standards preferred.
• Willing to be placed outside Riau (Libo) and work in Kalimantan Tengah.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses within assigned laboratory section per approved methods.
• Delegate tasks among analysts to ensure timely, accurate work.
• Ensure SOP compliance for all lab processes.
• Perform and monitor QC processes for analytical activities.
• Identify equipment and resources to sustain operations.
• Report results and updates to Lab Section and Department Head.

Job Description Summary :
To conduct, supervise, and ensure the accuracy and quality of analytical laboratory activities within the assigned laboratory section, in compliance with standard operating procedures, quality standards, and applicable laboratory practices, while supporting smooth day-to-day laboratory operations and reporting.

Job Description :

• Conduct laboratory analyses within the scope of the assigned laboratory section in accordance with approved methods and procedures.
• Delegate and coordinate analytical tasks among analysts and co-analysts to ensure timely and accurate execution of laboratory activities.
• Ensure all laboratory operational processes are carried out in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Perform and monitor Quality Control (QC) processes for all analytical activities, including completeness and accuracy of administrative and documentation requirements.
• Identify technical, equipment, and resource requirements necessary to maintain and sustain laboratory operational activities.
• Communicate analytical results, operational issues, and performance updates to the respective laboratory section and Department Head through clear and structured reporting.

Job Requirement :

• Master Degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field from a reputable University.
• Minimum English proficiency at intermediate level.
• Preferably possess knowledge and hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation such as FTIR, GC, GC-MS, and HPLC.
• Preferably have knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO 17025 standards.
• Willing to be placed outside Riau (Libo) and able to work in Central Kalimantan (SMARTRI Laboratory – Kalimantan Tengah).
