Qualifications

Job Description

The All Day Dining Barista plays an important role in creating memorable dining experiences by delivering exceptional beverage service within the hotel's all-day dining restaurant. As a passionate beverage professional, this position is responsible for preparing and serving a diverse selection of beverages, with specialty coffee as the core offering, alongside teas, fresh juices, mocktails, cocktails, wines, and other signature drinks.

The All Day Dining Barista creates a welcoming and engaging atmosphere where guests can enjoy thoughtfully crafted beverages and personalized service. By combining technical expertise, product knowledge, and genuine hospitality, the Barista provides recommendations tailored to guest preferences while ensuring every beverage is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Working closely with the restaurant and bar teams, the All Day Dining Barista contributes to the smooth operation of the outlet by maintaining beverage quality, supporting service efficiency, and ensuring beverage stations are clean, organized, and well-stocked.Through a passion for excellence, creativity, and attention to detail, this role enhances guest satisfaction and supports the hotel's reputation for delivering outstanding food and beverage experiences.

Qualifications

• Education and Certification: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in Barista Skills, Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service, Mixology, Wine Knowledge, or related disciplines is an advantage.
  
• Experience: Previous experience as a Barista, Bartender, or Beverage Attendant within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred. Experience in a luxury hotel, specialty coffee establishment, or upscale dining venue is highly desirable.
  
• Coffee Knowledge: Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, espresso extraction, milk texturing, latte art, and specialty coffee preparation is essential.
  
• Beverage Knowledge: A good understanding of a broad range of beverages, including teas, fresh juices, smoothies, mocktails, cocktails, wines, spirits, and non‑alcoholic specialty drinks is important. Knowledge of beverage pairings and responsible alcohol service is advantageous.
  
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers is required. Familiarity with bar equipment, Point-of‑Sale (POS) systems, and inventory management processes is preferred.
  
• Guest Service Skills: Exceptional guest service skills are essential.
  
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively engage with guests, understand preferences, explain menu offerings, and collaborate with team members.
  
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is required to ensure beverage consistency, presentation, order accuracy, and adherence to established recipes and service standards.
  
• Sales and Upselling Skills: Ability to confidently recommend beverages, promote specialty offerings, and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience while supporting revenue objectives.
  
• Hygiene and Safety Practices: Knowledge of food safety regulations, beverage handling procedures, hygiene standards, and sanitation practices is essential. Candidates should be committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
  
• Language Skills: Good command of spoken and written English is preferred. Additional language skills are considered an advantage when serving an international clientele.
