Job summary
JD Aero Technical seeks a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to perform maintenance on Dash-8 and related aircraft. The role requires TC M2 AME certification and hands-on experience with Dash-8 Q400 or CRJ series, under supervision of the Production Manager.
The successful candidate will mentor apprentices, ensure safe and compliant maintenance, and contribute to a fast-paced, technically challenging environment at our Sault Ste. Marie facility.
Qualifications
- Must hold Transport Canada AME License in M2 category with experience on Dash-8 Q400, Classic Dash 8, or CRJ series aircraft.
- Good understanding of English for reading and following Aircraft Manuals and Publications.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer manuals.
- Troubleshooting aircraft systems and components.
- Request parts and materials using manufacturer manuals.
- Complete maintenance releases and ensure documentation is clear and accurate.
- Mentor apprentices and trainees in best practices.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and participate in SMS.
- Maintain a clean work area with FOD vigilance.
