Job summary

JD Aero Technical is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our heavy maintenance team in Canada. You will perform avionics maintenance on Dash 8 and CRJ family aircraft under supervision, mentoring apprentices along the way.

We offer a competitive salary, opportunities for overtime, and career growth toward Senior/Lead roles. Working hours are standard with overtime as project needs arise.

Qualifications

• Diploma in aircraft maintenance required.
• Transport Canada AME Licence – E category required; Dakota Dash aircraft experience preferred?
• Excellent English reading and comprehension of aircraft manuals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks per manufacturer manuals and data.
• Troubleshooting aircraft avionics issues.
• Request parts and materials using manuals and data.
• Complete maintenance releases and document work clearly.
• Mentor apprentices and trainees in best practices.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in SMS and report hazards or incidents per procedures.
• Maintain clean work area and ensure FOD vigilance.
