Job summary

PT Hygan Filter Indonesia is seeking an Engineer specialized in Air Pollution Control (APC) systems to analyze industrial processes and select suitable technologies.

You will perform engineering calculations, support sales with technical clarifications, prepare proposals, deliver client presentations, and coordinate with project teams through fabrication and commissioning. Diploma in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering required; 2–5 years APC experience and NFPA/ISO knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support during detailed engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning

Job description

Analyze customer industrial processes (cement, power plant, metal, wood, biomass, chemical, food, etc.).

Evaluate emission characteristics, including: Airflow rate, Temperature and humidity, Dust concentration,

Select appropriate APC technologies, such as: Cyclone / Multi‐cyclone, Baghouse / Pulse, Jet Dust Collector,

Cartridge Dust Collector, Wet Scrubber, Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP).

Perform basic and preliminary engineering calculations, including: Air‐to‐cloth ratio, Pressure drop, Fan

sizing, Duct velocity and duct sizing, Hopper and dust discharge system

Provide technical and cost support to the sales team for: Technical clarifications, Proposal preparation,

Customer presentations and negotiations.

Ensure APC system designs comply with: Indonesian environmental regulations (emission limits),

International standards when required (ISO, NFPA, ATEX, EPA)

Recommend and integrate safety systems, including: Explosion venting, Spark trap, Fire suppression /

sprinkler systems, Back pressure or isolation valves

Provide technical support during: Detailed engineering, Fabrication, Installation and commissioning.

Act as technical problem solver for site issues and non-conformities.

Coordinate with: Project teams, Vendors and suppliers, Subcontractors, Customer engineering teams.

Technical Competency:

Having experience technically for Air Pollution Control (APC) such as Dust/Mist/Fume Collector,

Industrial Vacuum, Piping & Ducting etc.) are mostly preferrable.

Understanding of manufacturing process, excellent communication skills, strong technically sound

understanding, and having sales drive mentality.

Good negotiation, influencing and follow up skills and having sounds presentation skills.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Environmental Engineering, Bachelor degree is preferrable.

2-5 years of experience in Air Pollution Control systems Dust collection or Industrial ventilation

Proven experience in engineering design and cost estimation for APC projects.

Experience in emission testing or performance evaluation, familiarity with NFPA dust explosion

standards will be advantaged.
