Job summary

RGE in Medan is seeking an AI Product Manager to drive the adoption and delivery of AI solutions across Indonesian operations. This field-oriented role interfaces with site teams to translate ground requirements into practical products.

You will own AI product roadmaps covering quality grading, process intelligence, and GenAI applications, visit facilities across Indonesia, collaborate with our KL-based AI/DS team, and define success metrics for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or related field.
• 4–7 years in product management with AI, data, or enterprise software exposure.
• Experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translating into specifications.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for AI solutions deployed across Indonesian operations.
• Conduct site visits to facilities across Indonesia to validate performance and gather feedback.
• Interface with end users and stakeholders to understand pain points and define acceptance criteria.
• Translate field requirements into product specifications, user stories, and backlog items.
• Manage backlog, coordinate sprint planning, and track delivery with engineers in KL.
• Drive GenAI initiatives including document intelligence and workflow automation.
• Lead product rollouts and change management at operational sites.
• Prepare product documentation including release notes, SOPs, and stakeholder updates.
• Define success metrics and KPIs; report progress to senior leadership.
• Triage feedback, prioritize, and coordinate with engineering for closure.

We are seeking an AI Product Manager to drive the adoption and delivery of AI solutions across our Indonesian operations, based in Medan. This is a field-oriented role that goes beyond conventional product management — you will interface directly with operational teams at mill sites across Indonesia, gather requirements on the ground, and work closely with our AI/DS engineering team in Kuala Lumpur to translate those needs into working products. Your portfolio will span computer vision, generative AI, and data intelligence applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for AI solutions deployed across Indonesian operations, covering quality grading, process intelligence, and GenAI applications
• Conduct regular site visits to operational facilities across Indonesia to validate product performance, gather user feedback, and ensure quality of deployment
• Interface directly with end users and operational stakeholders to understand pain points, gather requirements, and define acceptance criteria
• Translate field requirements into clear product specifications, user stories, and backlog items for the engineering team
• Manage product backlog, coordinate sprint planning, and track delivery progress in collaboration with engineers in KL
• Drive GenAI initiatives including document intelligence, workflow automation, and LLM-based applications across business units
• Lead product rollouts and change management at operational sites — ensuring teams understand, adopt, and derive value from AI tools
• Prepare and maintain product documentation including release notes, SOPs, and stakeholder-facing updates
• Define success metrics and KPIs; monitor product outcomes and report progress to senior leadership
• Manage issue intake and resolution: triage feedback from the field, prioritise, and coordinate with engineering for closure

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field

Experience

• 4–7 years in product management with meaningful exposure to AI, data, or enterprise software products
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translating them into product specifications
• Track record managing end-to-end product delivery in a cross-functional, cross-location environment
• Experience conducting user research, field interviews, or usability reviews to inform product decisions
• Experience in or exposure to agri-industrial, manufacturing, or field-deployment contexts is an advantage

Skills (Required)

• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and product specification skills
• Confident stakeholder management across operational, technical, and senior management audiences
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working: sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product roadmap management
• Proficiency with product and project tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence or equivalent)
• Familiarity with generative AI concepts — LLMs, RAG, AI agents; able to engage engineering teams as an informed partner
• Data-driven approach to decision making; able to define, track, and communicate product KPIs
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel regularly to operational sites across Indonesia

Skills (Preferred)

• Exposure to computer vision, IoT-based, or sensor-driven systems
• Experience in palm oil, agri-industrial, or plantation operations
• Working knowledge of SQL or data querying for product diagnostics and reporting
• Experience with dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Metabase, Power BI, Tableau)

Preferred Certifications

• Product management certification (e.g., CSPO, PMI-ACP, AIPMM)
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent
