Job summary

Shopee is seeking a skilled software engineer for the AI Solutions team to design and develop the Smart platform and related AI systems. You will partner with tech and non-tech teams to deploy practical AI use cases and improve observability and reliability across the stack.

Strong Python skills, CS fundamentals, and knowledge of AI agent frameworks are required. A bachelor’s degree is expected, with 2+ years in software development and a passion for AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong programming in Python; familiarity with Golang is a plus.
• Solid CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, networking, systems, architecture.
• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph or strong interest.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Smart platform and AI systems covering runtimes, toolchains, memory, orchestration, logging, planning, sandboxing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to land and scale real-world AI use cases.
• Drive internal agent adoption by replacing traditional ops with intelligent workflows.
• Work on platform reliability and observability for production-ready systems.
• Operate supporting infrastructure including vector stores, retrieval systems (RAG), and middleware.
• Continuously experiment and bring AI advancements into production.
• Plan stress/load tests to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput.
