Job summary

YoboLabs in Jakarta is seeking a skilled video editor to produce high-quality short-form content in Bahasa Indonesia and English. You will edit across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp, following a weekly content calendar with marketing input.

You will own motion graphics, AI-powered editing, and reusable templates, delivering on-brand assets using After Effects, CapCut, Descript, and related tools; a strong portfolio and bilingual capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Edit and produce short-form video for both markets: Instagram/TikTok/LinkedIn/YouTube/WhatsApp; Bahasa for yobolabs.id and English for yobolabs.ai.
• Build product demos and explainers for the website and LinkedIn: screen-recorded UI walkthroughs with animations and branded elements.
• Own motion graphics and branded assets: captions, lower thirds, animated infographics, transitions and templates in After Effects and CapCut.
• Edit with AI, not just generate with it: transcript-based edits, auto captions, AI voiceover, lip-sync versions, and auto-reframes.
• Repurpose and report: cut hero pieces into platform-specific versions and track performance; test new formats every two weeks.

Job description

Salary Range : IDR 8,000,000 - 10,000,000/Month

Full English proficiency is mandatory, spoken and written. Daily feedback, scripting and voiceover direction run in English.

Responsibilities:

• Edit and produce short-form video for both markets: Talking-head reels, skits and explainers for Instagram and TikTok (Bahasa for yobolabs.id, English for yobolabs.ai), LinkedIn videos, YouTube and WhatsApp cuts, against a weekly content calendar agreed with Marketing.
• Build product demos and explainers for the website and LinkedIn: Screen-recorded UI walkthroughs with animated callouts, zooms and cursor motion, explainer animations using the Yobo mascot and brand system, and campaign or event recap videos.
• Own motion graphics and branded assets: Caption styles, lower thirds, animated infographics, transitions and reusable templates in After Effects and CapCut so every video stays on-brand across channels.
• Edit with AI, not just generate with it: Text-based editing with silence and filler removal, auto-captions and smart reframe, AI voiceover and dubbing, avatar and lip-sync versions, generative b-roll and shot extensions, upscaling and audio cleanup, turning one long recording into a week of shorts.
• Repurpose and report: Cut every hero piece into platform-specific versions and aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9, WhatsApp-friendly file sizes), track which hooks and formats retain viewers, and test one new format or tool every two weeks.

Requirements:

• Tools: After Effects plus Premiere Pro or CapCut Desktop for editing and motion; CapCut AI features (auto captions, smart cut, reframe, AI voice); Descript or a similar text-based editor; Google Drive or Frame.io for review rounds.
• AI-driven in daily editing: Uses AI at every stage of the edit: transcript-based cuts, silence and filler removal, captions and reframing, voiceover and dubbing (ElevenLabs), avatar and lip-sync (HeyGen), generative b-roll and shot extension (Higgsfield, Runway, Veo or Kling), upscaling and audio cleanup. Can show before-and-after examples and the workflow behind them, not only AI-generated clips.
• Portfolio: Mandatory links to published short-form work (Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn or YouTube) showing self-edited talking-head, skit or explainer content with styled captions and motion graphics, plus at least one screen-recorded product demo or animated explainer. B2C brands (F&B, health, lifestyle, services) or B2B SaaS preferred.
• Storytelling craft: Strong sense of hook, pacing, timing and animation flow; cuts to the rhythm of the script, knows when a 60-second talking head should be 25 seconds, and can direct or record a clean voiceover in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Ways of working: Runs multiple projects on a weekly calendar, meets tight deadlines without dropping quality, takes and gives feedback in English, and proactively tests new tools and formats.
