Firmus Technologies is seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer for AI Cluster Commissioning to deploy, test, and operate HyperCube systems. You will handle compute, network, and storage components in demanding data-center environments, with focus on reliability and performance.

The role requires strong teamwork, problem-solving, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Expect collaboration with vendors, rapid response to incidents, and hands-on hardware work.

Formación

• Diploma or equivalent, technical certification, trade qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including hands-on IT equipment maintenance and repair.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills; able to work under direction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends during commissioning.
• Must hold an unrestricted driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Support deployment, commissioning, and remediation of large-scale AI clusters with GPUs, networks, and storage.
• Assist site teams during commissioning, testing, and equipment setup.
• Perform system installations, modifications, and setup as part of commissioning team.
• Assist with network cabling and integration.
• Diagnose server, GPU, storage, and networking failures.
• Collect logs, support failure investigations, and identify root causes.
• Perform hardware validation procedures and verify firmware, cabling, and configurations.
• Maintain accurate service records and equipment logs.
