Job summary

Scarlett Indonesia is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage General Ledger activities, bank reconciliations, and inventory-related accounting. You will collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial records and timely month-end close.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 1–3 years of experience in AP/AR and reconciliations, and are proficient in Excel and accounting software such as Accurate, SAP, or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years in accounting/finance roles with exposure to AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of journal entries, GL, and financial statements.
• Familiar with inventory accounting and COGS is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Accurate, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work accurately under tight deadlines (especially during closing period).
• High integrity and strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining account balances, and ensuring accurate transaction recording.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and monitor cash movements.
• Oversee inventory transactions, including reconciliation with warehouse data, stock opname support, and COGS calculation.
• Execute month-end closing activities (accruals, prepayments, adjustments) and ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain proper documentation for audit trail purposes.
• Support the preparation of financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) along with relevant analysis for management.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards across all reports.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as needed.
