Job summary

PT Oceanic Global Indonesia (OGI) is seeking an Accounting Officer to manage daily bookkeeping in Odoo and ensure accurate financial records. You will support the Finance & Accounting team in transactions, reconciliations, and reporting while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Hands-on experience using Odoo Accounting.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, GL, AP, AR).
• Proficient with Google Sheets and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities using Odoo Accounting.
• Record and maintain financial transactions, including invoices, vendor bills, expenses, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate AP and AR records, monitor outstanding invoices and payment status.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure transactions are properly documented.
• Maintain and organize financial documents (invoices, receipts, vouchers).
• Assist with monthly closing and preparation of financial reports (GL, balance sheet, P&L).
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement and other departments for accurate recording.
• Assist with taxation, audits, and other reporting requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records in Odoo.

As our business continues to develop, we are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounting Officer to join our Finance & Accounting team.

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounting Officer with hands-on experience using Odoo ERP and a good understanding of basic accounting principles.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and ensuring that the company's bookkeeping activities are properly managed through Odoo.

You will work closely with our Finance & Accounting team to support the company's financial operations, reporting, and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities using Odoo Accounting.
• Record and maintain financial transactions, including sales invoices, vendor bills, expenses, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) records, including monitoring outstanding invoices and payment status.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and supported by the necessary documents.
• Maintain and organize financial documents, including invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other accounting records.
• Assist with monthly closing activities and the preparation of financial reports, including the general ledger, balance sheet, and profit and loss statement.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of supporting documents for taxation, audits, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records and maintain the accuracy of financial data in Odoo.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Hands-on experience using Odoo Accounting is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles, including debit and credit, journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Familiar with daily bookkeeping, invoicing, payment recording, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficient in Google Sheet and comfortable working with accounting software.
• Good attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Honest, responsible, trustworthy, and able to maintain the confidentiality of financial information.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
