Job summary

PT Intifarm Sukses Bersama in Surabaya, East Java, is seeking an Accountant for a full-time role based at our Surabaya office. The role focuses on maintaining financial records, preparing statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

You will manage the general ledger, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, invoicing, and support audits and tax compliance while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification desirable.
• Experience in financial accounting or reporting role.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
• Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, expenses, and payments in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the audit process by providing documentation and explanations as required.
• Monitor and report on the company's financial position and variances.
• Assist with tax compliance and preparation of tax-related documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join PT Intifarm Sukses Bersama in Surabaya, East Java. This is a full-time position based in our Surabaya office. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation by managing accounting records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position is fundamental to supporting our financial operations and providing accurate financial information to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Recording financial transactions and maintaining the general ledger and subsidiary accounts
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Processing invoices, expenses, and payments in compliance with company policies
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Supporting the audit process by providing documentation and explanations as required
• Monitoring and reporting on the company's financial position and variances
• Assisting with tax compliance and preparation of tax-related documentation
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation
• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification or certification (such as Indonesian accounting standards or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Proven experience working in a financial accounting or reporting role, ideally within a similar industry
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices and relevant regulations
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet strict deadlines
• Strong organisational and time management capabilities
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and local accounting requirements is advantageous
