Job summary

Raffles Bali invites an experienced Accountant to ensure precise financial records, compliance, and timely creditor payments in line with hotel policies. You will monitor revenue across Front Office, F&B, and other departments and verify postings against invoices and reports.

Working with ERP systems and Opera PMS, you will reconcile balance sheets, manage cash, and coordinate with suppliers. The role demands integrity, accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a luxury hospitality

Qualifications

  • Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2–3 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Knowledge of USALI preferred; luxury hotel experience advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems; Opera PMS experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and verify revenue transactions against supporting documents.
  • Process and monitor all hotel transactions including supplier payments.
  • Check revenue postings across departments and ensure correct revenue codes.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and ensure accurate debt balances.
  • Coordinate with departments and suppliers; review invoices for accuracy.
  • Provide recommendations to improve recording and reporting processes.
  • Maintain orderly payment documents.
  • Ensure cash on hand is adequate to meet payments.

Job Description
Job Purpose

Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with financial regulations, and initiate creditors’ payment in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Entering transaction data into an accounting system or program and ensuring everything matches the supporting documents.
  • Process and monitor all transactions, including payments supplier.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Check and validate all revenue transactions from all hotel departments, such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, and others.
  • Compare data in the hotel management system with physical evidence such as invoices, receipts, and sales reports from each department to find discrepancies.
  • Ensure all revenue postings, such as room charges, miscellaneous charges, and discounts, are done correctly and according to the correct revenue code.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in recording and reporting processes to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
  • Receive and review invoices from suppliers, ensure accuracy of information, and verify conformity with goods or services received by the company.
  • Record all purchase and expense transactions in detail and accurately.
  • Organise and store all payment documents as proof of transactions.
  • Reconcile balance sheet reports and ensure the debt balances are correct.
  • Ensure the company's cash is at a normal amount to make payments.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments as well as with suppliers
Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Experience in a luxury hotel/resort is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliation, and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of USALI is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with Opera PMS is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
