Job summary

PT Samco International Trading is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping using double-entry principles in Bandung. You will support monthly closings and produce reports for management to run the business efficiently.

The role requires English working proficiency, strong Excel skills, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining organized records for audits. Indonesian tax basics knowledge and familiarity with accounting software are preferred.

Qualifications

• D3 or S1 in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of the double-entry accounting system.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (formulas, tables, formatting).
• Ability to speak, read, and write English at a professional working level.
• Accurate, organised, and comfortable with deadlines.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Record daily transactions in the accounting system using double-entry principles.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers; follow up on outstanding items.
• Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Support tax filings (PPN, PPh) and coordinate with the external tax consultant.
• Maintain organised records for audit.
• Prepare simple management reports in Excel as requested.

The Accountant keeps Samco's books accurate, current, and audit-ready. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping under the double-entry system, supports monthly closing, and produces the reports management relies on to run the business.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions in the accounting system using double-entry principles.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers; follow up on outstanding items.
• Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
• Support tax filings (PPN, PPh) and coordinate with the external tax consultant.
• Maintain organised digital and physical records for audit.
• Prepare simple management reports in Excel as requested.

About you

• D3 or S1 in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
