Job summary

Oracle is seeking a System Administrator 3-IT to perform key roles in delivering core infrastructure within OCI data center environments. You will repair, install, and monitor data center hardware, understand equipment you support, and Upscale when required.

You will be responsible for shift-based data center routines, routine handovers, and working in a 24/7 environment while driving process improvements and automation to simplify operations.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems, hardware and network fundamentals.
• Experience in maintaining data center hardware and diagnosing faults.
• Ability to lead and guide shift team members in a 24/7/365 environment.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and provide proper handovers.

Responsibilities

• Show professionalism in daily data center routines for a 24/7 shift.
• Work on a shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Provide handover reports after shifts to the next team member(s).
• Install, remove, and troubleshoot hardware in data center racks with minimal disruption.
• Maintain asset inventory and update internal applications as needed.
• Support day-to-day hardware maintenance and repairs for known failure modes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify solutions and outcomes.
