Job summary

BNP Paribas invites graduates and final-year students to join its two-year graduate programme in Indonesia, offering first-class training and immediate responsibility. You will work with the M&A team on corporate finance advisory, supported by mentors and a buddy, to develop your skills from day one.

You will gain exposure to deal origination, due diligence, financial modeling and client presentations, while benefiting from cross-entity projects and a strong network within the firm.

Qualifications

• Final year students or recent graduates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Demonstrate methodical, logical, solution-driven thinking with commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support the M&A team in Indonesia with high quality corporate finance advisory.
• Assist in transaction origination, execution and growth of the firm.
• Build and review financial models, valuations, and pitch materials.
• Collaborate with clients and senior bankers through end-to-end transaction processes.

Duration: 24 months

Start date: July 2027

Who can apply?

Induction

You will be provided with a comprehensive induction, where you will be immersed in group training and discover more about the BNP Paribas Group.

Training

From day one, you will start your business specific technical and financial training, alongside personal skills development aimed at equipping you with the knowledge you need to get you the best possible start in your career. Working alongside our teams of industry leading specialists, you will gain on-the-job training throughout your two-year programme taking you along a development path to build your expertise and broaden your base of skills. You will also have the chance to experience other parts of the business through cross-entity projects, which will help you understand how we approach complex work and give you the chance to develop a strong internal network.

Mentor & Buddy

Throughout the programme, you will be mentored by experienced managers and team members, as well as pairing with a buddy from our early career cohorts who will make sure you are getting everything you need to grow.

What you will do?

To support the M&A team in Indonesia in providing high quality corporate finance advise and M&A transaction execution to corporate, private equity, and sovereign wealth fund clients across South East Asia and be part of a growing team handling high paced transactions in the region.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?

• • Assume significant levels of responsibility for various phases of transaction origination, execution and overall growth of the firm.
• • Work closely with clients on M&A transactions and lead them through the process including due-diligence, financial models, valuations, transaction document negotiations, preparation of information memorandums, investor presentations etc.
• • Support the senior bankers in origination efforts with idea generation, and preparation of pitch books.
• • Build and review detailed financial models and perform financial and valuation analysis.
• • Be involved with end-to-end transaction from the pitching phase, through to closing.

What is required for you to succeed?

• • 0 – 2 years of experience
• • Experience in Financial services industry, with prior experience in M&A deals gained through work/ internships within investment banks, private equity, in-house corporate finance team, or Big 4 accounting firms (Corporate finance teams)
• • Comprehensive knowledge of M&A processes
• • Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpretative skills.
• • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
• • Degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
• • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
