Our client, a leading financial service industry pioneer, is seeking an experienced VP, Talent Acquisition with strong strategic Talent Acquistion & Recruitment leadership and advisory skills to join the team.

senior leadership appointment within the Regional Human Resources function, responsible for shaping and executing the organisation's talent acquisition strategy across multiple markets in Asia Pacific.

Reporting directly to the CHRO at the Regional Headquarters in Hong Kong, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, partnering closely with HR, Finance and executive stakeholders to deliver strategic workforce planning and hiring outcomes that support the organisation's growth ambitions.

With full ownership of the end-to-end Talent Acquisition agenda, you will lead regional recruitment strategy, employer branding, executive and critical hiring, workforce planning, talent pipelining and recruitment operations. The role will drive hiring excellence through data-driven insights, market intelligence and innovative sourcing approaches, ensuring the organisation consistently attracts and secures top talent across diverse markets and functions.

As a highly visible leader, you will influence senior stakeholders and the Executive Committee on talent trends, hiring priorities and workforce challenges, while building scalable recruitment frameworks, enhancing candidate experience and ensuring best-in-class governance and compliance across all recruitment activities. The role also carries responsibility for leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing Talent Acquisition team across the region.

Summary of the role and key responsibilities

As a VP, Talent Acquisition, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CHRO and Executive Leadership Team, shaping the regional talent acquisition agenda and workforce growth strategy.
  • Define and execute a best-in-class talent acquisition strategy aligned to business priorities, organisational capability needs and long-term growth objectives.
  • Partner closely with senior business leaders to deliver strategic workforce planning, succession hiring and critical talent acquisition across key markets.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional Talent Acquisition function, driving excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Champion employer branding, executive hiring and talent pipelining initiatives to strengthen the organisation's ability to attract and secure top-tier talent.
  • Leverage market intelligence, talent insights and recruitment analytics to inform business decisions and optimise hiring outcomes.
  • Drive operational excellence, governance and compliance across all recruitment activities, ensuring scalable and efficient hiring processes.
  • Lead transformational initiatives, including recruitment technology, talent acquisition innovation and process optimisation, to enhance organisational capability and future readiness.
  • Maintain overall accountability for regional hiring performance, stakeholder engagement and the successful delivery of strategic talent objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Commercially minded and detail‑oriented Talent Acquisition leader with extensive regional experience and a proven track record operating at scale in complex environments
  • Exceptional leadership credentials with demonstrated success in reimagining talent acquisition functions, championing innovation and digital transformation, and developing high-performing teams that deliver strategic talent outcomes in competitive global markets.
  • High level of analytical capability and financial acumen is essential, alongside the ability to translate insights into clear, pragmatic recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, strong leadership capability, and the ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, resilience under pressure, with a client‑centric mindset and a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement
  • Trilingual fluency (English, Cantonese and Mandarin) is mandatory.
