Job summary

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) in Hong Kong invites applications for a role focused on structured products. You will support the product lifecycle from development through execution and post-trade monitoring, and craft investment solutions for the retail banking team along with other business segments.

Responsibilities include preparing offering documents, providing pricing and execution support, and monitoring performance with regulatory reporting obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance or related discipline.
• Passed HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7 and 8, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in banking, securities, treasury, derivatives, structured products, or related financial services areas.
• Mature, professional and customer-centric.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of VBA, Python or other quantitative analysis/programming tools advantageous.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua a plus.
• Other HKIB qualification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the structured products business across the entire product lifecycle, including product development, regulatory approval or authorization, execution, and post-trade monitoring
• Provide structured product ideas and investment solutions to support the retail banking business, while also providing support to other business segments as required
• Prepare and maintain offering documents for structured products, including product brochures, term sheets, marketing materials, and related documentation
• Provide timely and accurate pricing quotations and execution support for structured products transactions.
• Monitor the performance of outstanding structured products, oversee daily operational processes, and prepare management and regulatory reports as required
• Provide operational and quantitative analytical support to the Linked Deposits & Quantitative Analysis Section and undertake ad hoc assignments as required
• Assist with compliance to HKMA Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) scheme and related reference-check procedures

Education

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related discipline

HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7 and 8

2 years of relevant banking, securities, treasury, derivatives, structured products or related financial services experience
