Job summary

Larson Maddox is recruiting for a Senior Credit Analyst role in Hong Kong, supporting credit assessment, transaction execution, and portfolio management. You will work closely with a senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to prepare credit proposals for new and existing clients.

Requirements include at least 5 years in commercial banking, strong financial analysis and credit structuring capabilities, with fluency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of credit experience within commercial or corporate banking.
• Experience assessing mid-cap corporate clients and preparing credit proposals.
• Strong financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment capabilities.
• Excellent written English, as credit proposals are prepared in English.
• Fluent or native-level Mandarin is essential.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Relationship Managers to prepare credit proposals for new and existing clients.
• Conduct financial, cash-flow, industry, and credit-risk analysis.
• Recommend appropriate facility structures, terms, covenants, and risk-mitigation measures.
• Produce clear and well-supported credit applications in English for approval.
• Manage annual reviews, renewals, amendments, waivers, and related credit submissions.
• Monitor portfolio quality and identify early warning signals or emerging risks.
• Coordinate with Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to facilitate timely approvals and execution.
• Ensure all submissions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and deadlines.
