Job summary

China CITIC Bank International Limited seeks an experienced VP/AVP, Business Operational Risk in Hong Kong to lead identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risk across portfolios. The role partners with business line managers to enhance control frameworks and operating models.

You will drive internal control planning, RCSA reviews, incident analysis, and risk reporting while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk governance within the bank.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in retail banking operations, risk management or related audit/compliance.
• Strong knowledge of general banking products/business practices and regulated activities.
• Preferably with HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) in Operational Risk Management (ORM).

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, measure, mitigate and monitor operational risk in assigned areas/portfolio.
• Partner with business line managers to establish risk and control management framework and improve operating models.
• Develop annual internal control plan and conduct regular/ad-hoc/thematic testing.
• Review Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) to identify key risks and mitigation actions.
• Review incidents and customer complaints and ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor operational loss and KRIs; drive governance and post-launch reviews; report management information.
