Job summary

Our client, an international private bank, is seeking a VP/AVP to join the Operational Risk team in Hong Kong. You will lead RCSA coordination, facilitate risk discussions with business stakeholders, and review risk and control assessments.

The role requires 6–8 years in operational risk, strong knowledge of risk and control principles, and fluency in English and Chinese. You will drive remediation tracking and ensure governance timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 6–8 years in operational risk management, ideally in private banking.
• Practical experience in RCSA, risk assessment, control testing, and control effectiveness.
• Knowledge of private banking processes and operating models.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the RCSA process across business lines.
• Facilitate risk identification, ratings, and control discussions with stakeholders.
• Review risk and control assessments for coverage of material risks.
• Ensure RCSA evidence exists and governance timelines are met.
• Identify control gaps and perform root-cause analysis.
• Track remediation actions and validate closure of issues.
• Ensure robust control in areas like fraud risk, trade execution, and data integrity.
