Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong seeks a hands-on Java developer for the FICC Structured Products Technology team to lead the trade automation efforts within the front office. You will design and implement scalable trading workflows, working closely with Trading and Sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on electronic trading systems, large-scale distributed platforms, and automation solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Java (commercial experience preferred).
• Excellent object-oriented analysis and design skills.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with real‑time data processing, distributed systems, and multi-threaded programming.
• Understanding of FICC derivatives products, financial markets, and trading workflows, particularly in pricing, quoting, and lifecycle automation.
• Familiarity with automated testing, DevOps, and Continuous Deployment practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally.
• Comfortable multi‑tasking, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a global team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage the production environment of trade automation systems in the FICC Structured Products Technology team.
• Lead trade automation efforts within front office, focusing on Trading and Sales system workflow development.
• Collaborate with technologists, strategists, traders and salespeople across global teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
