You’ll report directly to the CEO & Founder and work closely with our Group CFO and our internal Family Office Management Accountant. You’ll own the cross-border agenda: international tax, treasury and trade risk across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands‑on role in a small, fast‑moving office. You’ll focus on the complex international questions, and you’ll make sure the processes behind them are tight, documented and followed.
What you’ll do
- Lead international tax strategy, including transfer pricing, cross-border structuring and liaison with advisers in Australia, Hong Kong and other jurisdictions
- Manage treasury, cash and FX across the Hong Kong and Asian entities, in partnership with the Group CFO
- Model and respond to external shocks such as tariffs and trade changes, with contingency plans ready before they’re needed
- Give directors clear visibility of international tax positions and obligations
- Manage relationships with banks and external tax advisers in Hong Kong and Asia
- Provide financial oversight of the founder’s broader interests, including property holdings and reinvestment, working alongside the Family Office Management Accountant
- Build SOPs for cross-border payments, intercompany transactions and tax compliance
- Partner with operations so product launch and order-to-bill processes are sound from a tax and trade perspective
- Advise on the cost and structure of headcount growth across regions
- Give the CEO clear, concise briefings: one page, not fifteen
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years in finance, with senior leadership in international tax, treasury or as a Finance Director/CFO
- Deep international tax expertise (Australia/APAC exposure highly regarded)
- Experience in a founder-led or privately held business with real operating complexity
- Practical experience building or fixing finance processes, not just reporting on them
- Comfort translating complex tax or treasury issues into simple decisions
- CPA, CA or CTA, or an equivalent qualification
- English essential; Mandarin or Cantonese highly regarded
