Role
Language: Business‑level fluency in English
As our VP of Engineering, you will own SleekFlow's technical vision and lead our entire engineering organization. This is the buck‑stops‑here technical seat: you partner directly with our founder & CEO as a true peer, own the hard technical bets, and turn our AI‑native ambition into a dependable, scalable platform. You'll lead a distributed team of engineering managers and their squads across the globe, take direct charge of our application infrastructure, and set the architectural direction for the next phase of our growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and architecture for the platform end‑to‑end: multi‑channel real‑time messaging, CRM‑as‑system‑of‑record, and AI orchestration.
- Stay hands‑on with architecture — guide engineers through system design, whiteboard sessions, and technical deep‑dives.
- Act as a true technical peer to the founder & CEO: own the hard calls, push back when a decision is wrong, and be the buck‑stops‑here owner of technical direction.
- Drive AgentFlow and our AI roadmap: ship dependable LLM/agentic systems to production, and own evals, reliability, and guardrails, not just demos.
- Connect engineering to business outcomes: prioritize the roadmap around revenue, retention, and adoption, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with GTM and Product.
- Lead, grow, and retain a high‑performing, distributed engineering org: set up squads and engineering managers to run with autonomy and reduce key‑person dependency.
- Scale our architecture upmarket — reliability, security, multi‑tenancy, and performance as we grow into mid‑market and enterprise.
Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of engineering experience with a track record of managerial experience, who has owned technical direction as the final decision‑maker, not someone who defers upward.
- Product and commercial mindset: you don't reason from engineering alone. You connect technical decisions to business outcomes and prioritize accordingly, and you've worked shoulder‑to‑shoulder with GTM and Product.
- Hands‑on architect: you still go deep on system design and can whiteboard our kind of problem. You may not write production code day‑to‑day, but you guide engineers through architecture, whiteboard sessions, and technical brainstorming. Not a pure people‑manager three years removed from the code.
- Production AI experience: you've genuinely built with AI and shipped LLM/agentic systems to production, not just prototyped them. You understand evals, reliability, and guardrails, and you know how building an AI product differs from regular software, testing for accuracy and quality of AI output, not just whether it works.
- Experience building and retaining a distributed engineering team across multiple locations.
- Has helped scale a company through rapid growth and knows what it takes to evolve a fast‑built product into something enterprise‑grade e.g. reliability, security, and performance at scale.
What We Offer
- Real ownership and authority: This is a buck‑stops‑here seat — you'll own the technical vision and run engineering your way, with the freedom and autonomy to build, structure, and lead your teams without constant intervention.
- Building a world‑class AI product at real scale. You'll build and ship AI that thousands of companies across 100+ countries rely on every single day.
- An exceptionally sizeable equity stake. We're offering a significant share option package, unusually large even for a growth‑stage startup so you share meaningfully in the upside you help create.
- A genuine seat at the table. You'll partner directly with our founder and leadership team as a true peer, shaping company direction, not just executing it.
- Flexible work‑from‑home and "Work From Anywhere" scheme.
- A fun, diverse, and international team culture — and many more perks and growth opportunities.
