Job Responsibilities:

• Define data strategy, establish and ensure adherence to the bank's data governance framework for data policies, standards, governance metrics, processes and data architecture


• Support the bank's data strategy and the adoption of the data governance framework and policy, incorporating best practices and industry standards across different jurisdictions where the Bank operates


• Build and manage the strong data community within the banking, including developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the business


• Ensure accountability over the data origination processes, and data controls are formally defined


• Take part in the implementation of data management tools and work in collaboration, in liaison with the data owners and data stewards to ensure effective use across the bank


• Lead the implementation of control indicators to monitor data quality


• Ensure monitoring, escalation and resolution process of data quality issues


• Present data governance and management initiatives to governance committees


• Promote awareness of data culture across the bank

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree holder or above, in Information Management or - Information Technology or Business Administration or other relevant qualification.


• Background of data governance, data quality, technology or business operations, with at least 8-10 years of working experience in the banking industry or equivalent


• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Data Governance discipline, especially in financial industry best practices and across the regulatory landscape


• Good understanding of data management related disciplines, such as data privacy, data protection, data quality, metadata and master data management


• Experience to build and manage a strong data community with business units and technology across the bank


• Experience of working with Big Data platforms and ETL tools is an advantage


• Good experience in developing guideline and procedure documentations, as well as presentation materials


• Ability to face off with senior executives and key decision-makers on Data related matters discussion.


• In-depth knowledge on business and operation models of banking


• Knowledge of industry leading data management practices Understanding of data governance framework and methodologies.


• Understanding of data warehouses, lakes and master data management


• Good insight to technology trend and new technology


• Solid regulatory and compliance experience combined with project management capabilities


• Strong business knowledge in banking industry or financial sector
