Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management / IT / Business Administration or related field.
• At least 8–10 years of banking data governance or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, regulatory landscape and financial industry practices.
• Experience with data privacy, metadata and master data management.
• Ability to build a data community across business units and technology teams.
• Familiarity with Big Data platforms and ETL tools is advantageous.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills for governance materials.
• Ability to engage with senior executives on data-related discussions.

Responsibilities

• Define data strategy and ensure adherence to the bank's governance framework.
• Support adoption of data governance policies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Build and manage a strong data community with key stakeholders.
• Ensure accountability over data origination processes and data controls.
• Lead the implementation of data management tools with data owners and stewards.
• Lead the implementation of data quality control indicators.
• Monitor, escalate and resolve data quality issues.
• Present data governance initiatives to governance committees.
• Promote awareness of data culture across the bank.
