Job summary

BAH Partners is seeking an experienced VDI & Virtualization Engineer to join its technology team. This hands-on role focuses on enterprise VDI, Citrix, cloud, endpoint management, and automation.

You will design, build, and maintain Windows desktop environments, support migrations to Citrix Cloud, manage VMware/Nutanix virtualization, and develop automation with PowerShell and related tools for end-user computing.

Qualifications

• Strong experience across VDI and Desktop Engineering.
• Hands-on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops expertise.
• Knowledge of VMware and/or Nutanix virtualization.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and cloud infra.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise VDI and desktop environments.
• Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops across on-premises and Citrix Cloud.
• Assist migrations to and from Citrix Cloud and integrate with enterprise infra.
• Engineer and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware/Nutanix).
• Support Citrix integration with AWS and Azure, including AVD and networking.
• Build, deploy, and manage Windows 10/11 desktop environments and thin clients.
• Manage endpoints using Intune and/or SCCM.
• Troubleshoot complex L1–L3 issues in desktop, network, and identity.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Power Automate, ServiceNow, UiPath.

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced VDI & Virtualization Engineer to join its technology team. This is a hands‑on engineering role supporting sophisticated virtual desktop and end‑user computing environments, with significant exposure to Citrix, virtualisation, cloud, endpoint management, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise VDI and desktop environments.
• Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops across both on‑premise and Citrix Cloud environments, including FAS, Cloud Connectors, and StoreFront.
• Support migrations to and from Citrix Cloud and integration with wider enterprise infrastructure.
• Engineer and maintain virtualisation platforms including VMware and Nutanix.
• Support Citrix integration with AWS and Microsoft Azure, including Azure Virtual Desktop, virtual machines, identity, and networking.
• Build, deploy, and manage Windows 10/11 desktop environments and thin‑client infrastructure.
• Manage enterprise endpoints using Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM.
• Troubleshoot complex L1-L3 infrastructure, desktop, connectivity, authentication, and end‑user issues.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions using technologies such as PowerShell, Power Automate, ServiceNow, and UiPath.
• Support enterprise applications and collaboration tools including Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
• Maintain endpoint security standards including encryption, antivirus, patch management, and device compliance.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience across VDI and Desktop Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Strong knowledge of VMware and/or Nutanix virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, networking, VPNs, and enterprise desktop infrastructure.
• Experience managing Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM.
• Strong trouble shooting skills across virtual desktop, infrastructure, networking, and end‑user environments.
• Scripting and automation experience is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
