Job summary

Jefferson Frank is seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to own critical enterprise platforms and large-scale IT operations, operating in a sophisticated enterprise IT environment with exposure to cloud technologies, automation, infrastructure architecture and high-availability systems.

You will manage enterprise infrastructure including Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP and storage, with responsibility for patching, capacity planning

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration or enterprise platform support.
• Strong experience supporting medium to large enterprise IT environments.
• Experience working within high-availability or mission-critical infrastructure environments is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Familiarity with enterprise storage systems, backup technologies and disaster recovery planning.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, firewall, VPN and enterprise connectivity.
• Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure or AWS.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud infrastructure environments or migration projects.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware, Microsoft Azure, Cisco or ITIL certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance infrastructure architecture to improve system stability, scalability, performance and overall operational efficiency.
• Administer and support core enterprise platforms including Windows/Linux servers, VMware/Hyper-V environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Perform infrastructure lifecycle management including patching, system upgrades, capacity planning, monitoring and continuous platform optimization.
• Lead troubleshooting for critical infrastructure incidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement long-term preventive solutions.
• Establish infrastructure standards, security hardening practices and ensure systems align with internal governance, security and compliance requirements.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python or similar technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams, external vendors and project stakeholders while acting as a senior technical escalation point and providing mentorship to junior engineers.
