Job summary

STMicroelectronics Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an engineer to operate and monitor UPW treatment systems, ensuring water quality and flow. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with contractors to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on experience with UPW processes in semiconductor environments, strong documentation, and teamwork. The successful candidate will contribute to uptime and process reliability at our facility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in UPW water treatment in semiconductor companies.
• Good understanding of pumps, filtration systems, membranes, control systems, or water quality parameters.
• Troubleshooting, analytical, or problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor UPW treatment system to maintain water quality and flow.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system checks on pumps, filters, membranes, tanks, valves, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to water quality, pressure, conductivity, TOC, and flow.
• Support breakdown maintenance and coordinate with contractors or vendors for repairs and servicing.
• Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, water quality results, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with production, facilities, and quality teams to minimize disruptions to operations.
• Participate in equipment upgrades, commissioning, and qualification activities for UPW systems.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring system issues.
