Job summary

Arup, Hong Kong-based, seeks a Senior Engineer in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering to drive wastewater and waste management initiatives. You will shape strategy, design schemes, and coordinate across disciplines in East Asia, delivering reports, design work, and client-ready presentations.

Role requires 8 (Senior) or 5 (Engineer) years of experience, with English and Chinese proficiency. Professional membership is preferred; Sean Wang is the contact for inquiries and adjustments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil engineering or related discipline.
• 8 years (Senior Engineer) or 5 years (Engineer) of relevant experience likely; actual role depends on candidate.
• Professional membership of a recognized institution is preferred.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Ability to structure presentations/reports clearly in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input to strategy formulation, planning and design of waste management schemes.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Execute and manage multi-disciplinary projects from tendering to design and construction phases.
• Provide technical leadership within the group and collaborate across offices (East/Southeast Asia).
• Coordinate with other disciplines to develop integrated solutions and space proving requirements.
